I painted this after a lovely family holiday to Zakynthos, Greece. This view was looking down towards the famous Navagio beach where a very old shipwreck can be viewed and is a very popular tourist destination because of its incredible blue sea and rock cliffs. The wreck can only be accessed by boat so there was a flurry of boats heading for the beach making perfect white waves against the blue sea. I enjoyed trying to capture that beautiful blue and the hot sun warming the rocks below.
